PSYCHOPATHY AND HEALTHCARE

Walk into a supermarket and go to the shelves of soup.

Imagine that the shelves are called capitalism.

Neoliberalism is just a brand of this soup. It lists as ingredients – individual choice, free enterprise, and states it is low on government interference.

The problem is that those fed on this diet have required a lot of government interference, in the form working family tax credits, in order not to starve on the diet that free enterprise doles out. That is, neoliberalism has not worked without the state intervention which it decries. It has been a contradictory nonsense.

This will not stop the religionists of neoliberalism imposing their doctrine on health care services. They will argue that if government interference is totally withdrawn then individuals will be forced to take out private insurance policies to cover medical needs. The American system is being imposed so slowly that most have not recognised the metamorphosis.

The neoliberal elite will prosper; the less “successful” and less “powerful” will perish, deservedly so in the mantra of neoliberalism, for their very core is infested by the worm of Calvinism, some people are chosen for salvation and others for damnation; the chosen ones are identified by their Worldly success; their ability to afford expensive private insurance policies.

The question becomes, how are powerful psychopaths best overthrown?

About leninnightingale

A nurse who for decades challenged the nursing establishment, echoing the voices of the silent many- the downtrodden nurses, students, care assistants, patients, and relatives that the 'system' overlooks. This site will present issues that many fear to engage in, prefering to believe what they are told by the Government's 'Ministry of Truth' (i.e. 'Lies').
